Located at the Fort Lauderdale International Airport, The Market On Las Olas is a grab and go market that is powered by Amazon’s Just Walk Out (JWO) technology. This 500 SF market includes over 60 cameras, automated entry and exit gates, and a dedicated IT Room that were all coordinated with Amazon to ensure the project met the technology requirements needed for this type of technology to function smoothly.
The Project Manager job duties for this project included managing the design process with the brand and obtaining the necessary approvals from the client and airport authorities, coordinating with engineers to ensure QAQC of permit set, and coordinating with AJH to obtain a permit. This project’s finishes were selected by the Architect in coordination with the brand and client to ensure the material’s selected did not interfere with the range of view of the cameras and technology system (ex no reflective surfaces were selected).
